Please pray for Lola Rose Lilley, who will be baptised at St Peter’s on Sunday 25th February at 11 am, and for Lola’s parents, Edward and Kelly, and her brother Oscar.
Lent walks will take place on Wednesday mornings, for the next four weeks, setting off from at St. Peter’s Church at 9am, returning at about 10.30am.
There will also be a walk on Sunday 18th March, straight after the morning service at St. Peter’s, starting at around 10.45am, this walk will be a bit longer, but we will stop to replenish our energy with a pub lunch in the middle of the walk. Please let me know in advance at email@example.com if you intend to come on this particular walk, so that I have some idea of numbers for the pub lunch.
The annual Women’s World Day of Prayer will be a joint service at the URC on Friday 2nd March at 2pm. This year the service comes from the women of Suriname - all welcome.
The Annual St Peter’s Quiz will be held on 10th March at the Village Hall, starting at 7:30 pm prompt. Tickets will be £7.50, or £45 for a team (no more than six per team). Please bring your own drinks, glasses and cutlery.. To purchase tickets or for further information, please call Barbara Richmond on 01992 446390.
And a very advance notice – there will be a barn dance at the Village Hall in September. Watch this space!
